The building took about $5.7 billion to build which made it the most expensive building during its grand opening in 2010. The Buddha Tooth Relic Temple

 

The Buddha Tooth Relic Temple is located in Singapore’s Chinatown and is a popular place to visit for tourists. The temple was developed based on the Chinese Buddhist architectural style of the Tang dynasty. It was built in 2007 and is home to what historians say is a tooth that belonged to the Buddha. The tooth relic is housed in a giant stupa that weighs about 7,700 lbs and made from 320 kg of gold, of which 234 kg were donated by devotees. Only monks are allowed into the relic chamber, but visitors are still able to see the tooth relic from the public viewing area.

 

Singapore Botanical Gardens

 

For travelers who have a budget, the Singapore Botanic Gardens makes the perfect place to enjoy the great outdoors and witness the beautiful exotic plants and tropical greenery of the gardens. Most of the gardens offer free entry, which makes them very accessible for the whole family. The Gardens are 162 years old and is near the Orchard Road shopping district and is the only tropical garden to be honored as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
